About these terms
These terms apply when you use the My Vessel website and when you book our services through it. My Vessel (ABN 14 689 014 659) is based in Sydney, New South Wales. Questions: info@myvessel.com.au or 1300 698 377.
Prices and quotes
- Our online prices are worked out from the details you give us: your boat's size and type, where she's kept and the work you choose. The builder shows prices before GST and the total including GST. The amount you pay at checkout includes GST.
- The price is for the boat and the job as you describe them. If they turn out to be different, for example a larger boat or more work than described, we may need to adjust the price. We'll tell you the new price before we start.
- Some work can't be priced online. In that case you can ask us for a quote, and we'll send you one.
Booking and payment
- You pay online by card through Stripe's secure checkout.
- Some services take a deposit: you pay the deposit when you book, and we invoice the balance after the service. Every other service is paid in full when you book. The checkout shows you which applies before you pay.
- The date you choose is your preferred date. We'll confirm the day with you.
- We'll send you a confirmation by email and text message once your booking is paid.
- If you need to change or cancel a booking, contact us as early as you can.
Regular cleans
- Regular cleans are one service on a rhythm you choose: weekly, fortnightly, every three weeks, every four weeks or a schedule of your own (for example the second Monday of every month). You pay visit by visit. There's no contract and no lock-in.
- Your first visit is the booking you pay for at checkout. Each later visit is charged to the card you used 2 days before that visit, at the price per visit including GST.
- To skip a visit, pause or stop, give us at least 48 hours' notice before the next visit. If you give us at least 48 hours' notice, the visit isn't charged (or, if it has already been charged, it's refunded). A visit cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice is charged.
- You can change, pause or stop your regular cleans at any time: reply to your confirmation email, email info@myvessel.com.au or call 1300 698 377.
- If a payment doesn't go through, we'll contact you to sort it out.
Care plans
A care plan brings several services for one boat together, each at its own frequency, for a set term (usually 12 months), paid in equal monthly instalments. Every care plan has its own written care plan agreement, which you sign before it starts. This is a summary of it: if anything here differs from your agreement, your agreement applies.
- Services: we deliver each service in your agreement at the agreed frequency and in the agreed months, and give you reasonable notice of each visit. If we can't get to the boat at a scheduled visit and you didn't let us know beforehand, the visit may count as delivered.
- Payments: you pay each instalment in advance, on the due dates in your agreement's payment schedule, by bank transfer or by card on automatic payment, as agreed. The instalments are payments toward the total value of the services, not payment for a period of time. Late payments may attract interest as set out in the agreement, and we may pause visits while a payment is more than 14 days overdue.
- Work outside the plan is quoted and invoiced separately. It doesn't change your plan unless we both agree to it in writing.
- Ending the plan early: either of us can end it with 30 days' written notice, by email or registered post. Because a plan is based on the services delivered, not the time that has passed, we then add up the value of the services already delivered (at the values in your agreement) and compare it with what you've paid. If the services delivered are worth more, you pay the difference within 14 days. If you've paid more, we refund the difference within 14 days, less any cancellation fee. As big jobs such as the annual lift can fall early in the plan, ending early can mean paying more than the instalments so far.
- Cancellation fee: none if the plan is cancelled before it starts. After that, a percentage set in your agreement, with a minimum: of the total plan value if the plan ends within its first 30 days, or of the value of the services not yet delivered after that.
- Your agreement also sets out when either of us can end the plan straight away, for example a payment more than 21 days overdue, or a service more than 30 days late without good reason.
- Renewal: at the end of the term the plan can be renewed if we both agree; neither of us has to. We'll tell you about any price change for a renewal at least 30 days before the plan ends.
Weather and rescheduling
We work outdoors and on the water. If the weather or conditions would make the work unsafe, or stop us doing it properly, we'll move the visit to another suitable day and let you know.
Access to your boat
- Please make sure we can get to your boat at the agreed time, including any marina access, codes or keys we need.
- Tell us about anything we should know before we start, such as existing damage, delicate surfaces or equipment, or safety hazards.
- If we can't get access, we'll contact you to arrange another time.
Our responsibility to you
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those guarantees or any other right you have under that law.
Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss caused by things outside our reasonable control, or for faults, wear or damage that were already present in the boat before we started.
Your account
If you create an account, keep your sign-in details private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy.
