Boat detailing in Sydney
Boat detailing is more than a wash. It's the careful, top-to-bottom clean that brings a boat back to how she should look, and keeps her that way: decks scrubbed, stainless and glass spotless, gelcoat polished and protected, the cabin fresh, the teak even and the hull clean below the waterline.
It's mobile boat detailing: we do it at your marina berth or on your mooring, anywhere from Sydney Harbour to the Northern Beaches, Pittwater, the Hawkesbury and Botany Bay. There's nothing for you to move and no haul-out for the work we can do in the water. You choose the level of care, and you see the exact price for your boat before you book.

How it works at your berth or mooring
1. Build your price. Tell us your boat's length and beam (or pick a size), where she's kept and the level of care. The price shows straight away.
2. Book a day. Book and pay online, or send it to us as a quote request if you'd rather talk first.
3. We come to the boat. We bring what the job needs to your marina berth or out to your mooring. Moorings we reach in our own fully equipped work boat. If we need access, like a gate code, keys or a marina pass, we arrange it with you before the day.
4. You hear how it went. When we finish, we send you a short report on what we did and anything we noticed.
Once, or on a rhythm: make it regular and every visit costs less, up to 15% off. Give us 48 hours' notice to skip, pause or stop.
Boat detailing questions
- How much does boat detailing cost in Sydney?
- It depends on your boat's size and the level of care. For a 40 × 13 ft power boat on Sydney Harbour, an external wash starts at $499 and a full Restore is $2,744.50, including GST. Every price, and what changes it, is on our boat detailing prices page, and each service page works out the exact price for your boat.
- What does a full boat detail include?
- Outside: deck and non-skid scrubbed white, hull sides, marks and rust spots removed, stainless and glass cleaned and dried by hand, under the cushions, the hatches and the bimini. Inside: cabins, galley and living spaces cleaned and aired. Add polishing and teak care when she needs them. Every item, level by level, is listed in the builder.
- How long does a boat detail take?
- About two hours for an external Detail on a 40 ft boat. Bigger boats, higher levels and polishing take longer, and we tell you what to expect when you book. You don't need to be there: if we need access, we arrange it with you beforehand.
- Do you detail boats on moorings as well as marina berths?
- Yes. It's a mobile service: we bring everything to your boat, at her berth or on her mooring, across Sydney Harbour, Middle Harbour, the Northern Beaches, Pittwater, Cowan Creek, the Hawkesbury, Botany Bay and Port Hacking.
- How often should a boat be detailed in Sydney?
- In Sydney's salt and sun, we recommend a maintenance wash every month and a full detail every three to four months. Regular cleans keep that rhythm for you, and the more often we come, the less each visit costs.
- How often should you wax or polish a boat?
- In Sydney's sun and salt, we recommend a full cut, polish and wax once a year, then a wax every three months to keep the gelcoat sealed. Regular washes in between keep the wax working longer.
- How often should you clean a boat's hull?
- It depends on how much she's used and how warm the water is: growth builds faster in summer and on a boat that sits still. Hull Dive & Clean can be booked every four weeks or every quarter, and regular hull cleans cost less per visit.
- Can you cut and polish faded, oxidised gelcoat?
- Yes, that's Vessel Polish & Wax: the hull and superstructure machine-polished or hand-waxed, so the shine comes back and stays sealed in. If the gelcoat is badly faded, add a note or a photo when you build your price and we'll tell you what it needs.
